Three chores, three top-ranked robots

The best score in each guide, according to the shared scorecard. The details — and the five other models in each family — are in the guides.

robista scores out of 10 — the weighting grid is published in the Method section of each guide. These are not Amazon ratings. Only models actually sold on Amazon.co.uk are ranked: a robot you can't find has no place in a buying comparison.

Why three families

Every robot has its season

The vacuum works twelve months out of twelve; the mower follows the growth of the grass; the pool robot follows the swimming season. The guides are reviewed before each seasonal peak, not once a year.

How robista scores

Each guide relies on six weighted criteria, and the weighting is published in plain sight in its Method section. Every figure carries a source marker: C manufacturer spec sheet, A synthesis of public reviews and after-sales feedback, E editors' estimate. Prices are never entered by hand: they come from the Amazon API and are refreshed automatically, with the date of the latest pull shown under each card.

What robista doesn't do: show Amazon ratings or review counters, rank according to commission, or claim lab tests that never took place. When a figure is an estimate, it is marked as such.

The editorial team

Based in French-speaking Switzerland, the robista editorial team has been following the home robot market since 2025. Models are compared from manufacturer spec sheets, a synthesis of public user feedback and Amazon price feeds — no lab tests, this site doesn't run any and doesn't claim otherwise. The same scorecard applies to all three families. Learn more about the method
