Proscenic Q8 Max+: our review
200 minutes and 230 m² claimed, dual-laser LiDAR navigation and automatic emptying that lasts two months. The trade-off is on mopping: a vibrating mop, fine for daily upkeep, not enough for stains.

Check before you order. The Amazon listing title is generic ('Proscenic Robot Vacuum and Mop, 8000Pa'), but the product bullet points point to the Q8 Max+, presented as an improved version of the Q8 Max. It's under this name that you should look for tests and spare parts.
Who it's for
- A large home of more than 80 m² where runtime and coverage matter more than mopping quality.
Who it's not for
- An open kitchen where the floor takes greasy splashes: the vibrating mop won't remove them.
Built for floor area
200 minutes of runtime and 230 m² claimedC: this is the model on this page that explicitly targets large homes. The 3,200 mAh batteryC triggers an automatic recharge below 15% then resumes exactly where the robot stoppedC — without this feature, a large open floor gets cleaned in two poorly joined halves. Full mapping is claimed in 15 minutes, with up to five stored levelsC, covering a multi-storey house without re-mapping on every move.
Navigation: dual laser
The system pairs a 360° LiDAR with AI-assisted obstacle recognition, with a dual-laser setup claimed to detect obstacles at long rangeC. Avoidance works day and nightC, which is the structural advantage of laser over camera alone: a pure-vision robot becomes noticeably less capable in a dark room. No-go zones and room-by-room cleaning are set from the appC.
Automatic emptying
The 3.5 L bag is rated for about two monthsC. It's the comfort point that separates a robot you maintain every day from a robot you forget about. On a large floor area, the gap is even more marked: an onboard bin fills all the faster the larger the area, and without a dock the robot in effect stops before the end of the cycle. Count this line item into the recurring budget, as with all dock models.
What should give you pause
Mopping is the main limit: a vibrating mopC, fine for daily upkeep but not enough for dried-on stains or greasy marks, where a dual rotating mop actually scrubs. The 8,000 Pa sit in the low-middle of this page. Finally, the brand is less established than Dreame or Roborock, and after-sales service remains more uncertainA — even though the manufacturer talks about a response within 24 hoursC.

Frequently asked questions
About the Proscenic Q8 Max+
Is 230 m² realistic?
It's the area claimed under the most favourable conditions: open floor plan, few obstacles, eco mode. In a partitioned home with furniture, expect 20 to 30% less, as with all robots.
Vibrating or rotating mop: what's the difference?
The vibrating one dampens and scrubs lightly: it suits the daily upkeep of a hallway or bedroom. The rotating one applies a spinning pressure that actually lifts dried-on stains and greasy marks. For an open kitchen, the rotating one is clearly superior.
Is it the Q8 Max or the Q8 Max+?
The listing's bullet points point to the Q8 Max+, presented as an improved version of the Q8 Max. The Amazon title, for its part, stays generic. Look for tests and parts under the Q8 Max+ reference.
How much does the replacement bag cost?
The 3.5 L bag is rated for about two months of use. As with all robots with an emptying dock, plan this consumable into the yearly budget, on top of filters and brushes.
