Three driven wheels and automotive-grade stability control: it goes where a two-wheel-drive slips. The best entry point in the selection for uneven terrain, within the advertised 500 m².

Three driven wheels: what it is really for
On wet grass, a two-wheel-drive robot starts slipping around 35% slope, and it slips all the more right after mowing — cut grass is slippery. The i205 AWD engages a third driven wheel and carries electronic stability control presented as automotive-gradeC, for slopes advertised up to 45%, i.e. 24°C. The interesting subtlety: this third wheel only becomes driven when neededC, saving up to 30% energyC rather than constantly drawing on the battery.
The detail that sets a good robot apart
The concentric design of the third wheel allows a spot turn, with zero turning radius, without scuffing the lawnC. This matters more than it seems: robots with a classic chassis leave scuff marks at every change of direction, and on a well-kept lawn those bare circles eventually show. It is typically the kind of detail you only notice after three months of use.
Wire-free, antenna-free installation
Deployment happens without antenna or perimeter wire: the EFLS system combined with a triple-frequency NRTK network lets you launch the mapping with one tap in the appC, completed by a vision system for centimetre-level localisation. Up to 20 mowing zones are managed with automatic route optimisationC, and the robot resumes from its last position after rechargingC. This is what makes this model affordable without making it basic.
What should make you hesitate
The advertised 500 m²C is a firm limit: beyond that, you need to aim higher in the range, and the usual 20 to 30% usage margin reduces that figure further on a fragmented lawn. The 18 cm cutting widthC is the narrowest on this page. Finally, the S garage supplied with the robot is shipped separatelyC: full setup can be delayed by a few days, which is worth knowing before ordering the day before a trip.

Is AWD on a robot mower just marketing?
No, if your lawn is genuinely sloped or bumpy. Beyond about 35% slope, a two-wheel-drive slips on wet grass. The third driven wheel and the stability control concretely change the situation, and it only engages when needed to preserve the battery.
Is 500 m² the absolute limit?
It is the area advertised in favourable conditions. On a sloped, fragmented lawn or one with narrow passages, count 20 to 30% less. Beyond that, look at the Mova LiDAX Ultra 800 or the Mammotion YUKA 2000.
Is the garage included?
It is included in the offer but shipped separately according to the product listing. Expect that the two packages may not arrive on the same day.
Do I need to install an RTK antenna?
No. The EFLS system relies on a triple-frequency NRTK network, with no antenna to plant and no wire to bury. Mapping is launched from the app.
